• The ‘heart’ of Jenks business
• 70 employees working in focused business teams to deliver our Principals' objectives in:

  • Grocery
  • Confectionery, drinks and snacks
  • Health, Beauty amd non-food

We operate a partnership approach. Each business team works very closely with its Principals to develop and execute annual brand and trade plans.

Logistics

• Customers' orders are handled by our dedicated Customer Services department who ensure that orders are effectively managed from receipt through to successful invoicing. Orders can be received via EDI or by more conventional methods such as fax/email.

• Jenks operates from two principal depots, both of which provide a high standard of storage and inventory control. The network also provides the ability to increase capacity at short notice and by operating in a shared user enviroment, Jenks can deliver products from across the Jenks portfolio in a single drop, ensuring competitive costs to our Principals.

Quality & Technical

• This department ensures that the products we supply to the UK market comply with UK and EC legislation, and provides a resource to our Principals.

  • Legal labelling
  • Consumer complaint administration
  • Product recall handling, including an independent call centre facility
  • Basic hygiene training
  • Quality/hygiene audits – of manufacturing sites or warehouses
  • Pro-active legislation advice to Principals and timely reminders to ensure compliance with new and pending legislation
  • Udex and I-label registration

• Both Jenks & Baylis hold a full Wholesale Dealer’s Licence and each party employs their own Responsible Person Under this Licence. Jenks can advise on obtaining a Licence and the warehousing and distribution of medicinal products.

Finance/Administration

• The Finance team provide all the controls required to effectively manage our Principals’ business.

• Jenks Sales Ledger team effect the cash collection from customers and Jenks take responsibility for any bad debt.

• The MIS team provide full sales and stock analyses and this is available through a secure internet link.
